Upcoming Projects

I haven’t published anything lately because I have been working hard on various projects that I have been wanting to do for a while. I’m hoping the you guys, the trading card community, will enjoy what these projects offer.

I have also started some posts but have not finished them (obviously). One of the projects is really close to being in a state to be released. The other is going to take some time. More on these projects coming up.

The truth is is that I think so many things can be done to enhance how we use the internet in the hobby. I would like to hear some of your ideas on what you think should happen. AreĀ  you happy with what is available out there? Let me know.

The Internet Graveyard

I can’t believe it has almost been a week since I last posted! I have been doing lots of looking around trading (mainly sports) card sites on the Internet. There are some good sites out there. But most of them are really bad. By bad I mean it appears they were created in the 90′s and haven’t been updated since then. I admit I am no designer but we can do better.

To me that is not the big deal though. The question has to be asked why so many sites have been created and then… nothing. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few sites that are great. Some have some awesome content. Others have built great communities. I am curious why many sites don’t grow to what they could be. Most likely, they have been unable to monetize their content and get the traffic necessary.

I want to write more on this in the future. But right now I would love to get input from others. Which sites, including blogs and forums, do you regularly visit to get your news, trade cards with others, keep inventory of your collection, etc.
